On this model, the crank connects to a pinion gear and bevel gear at the front, providing a 4:1 mechanical advantage. This means that 4 rotations of the handle = 1 rotation of the reel. This provides a very smooth operation with less force.
This hand crank rewind hose reel is ideal for a variety of applications for commercial and industrial use for instance that do not require any external power source for operation.
